Research at the Division of Nursing Science

Nursing Science studies the individual’s basic needs for
health, reactions to illness and poor health, and effects of
care and treatment. An additional study area is the
individual’s resources for retaining or regaining health, or
accepting changes in his or her life and health situation.
Included in this are primary and secondary prevention
and symptom treatment as well as care and rehabilitation
measures. Also focused on is the interaction between care
provider, care receiver and next of kin in various contexts
and environments throughout the chain of care.
